Welcome to Chichester District Council's Planning Consultation Portal
As part of the Local Development Framework (LDF) process Chichester District Council will make critical choices around shaping the district with regard to homes, employment, community facilities and other infrastructure.
The LDF is a set of documents, the Core Strategy being the first that will shape future development in the District up to 2026. It is the spatial expression of the community’s needs and aspirations for the district as set out in the Sustainable Community Strategy 2009-2026, “Chichester District: A Very Special Place”.
The Core Strategy has a key role in identifying the broad location(s) for future development in the District setting the strategy and policies for development in the district up to 2026.
The Focus on Strategic Growth Options is the first stage towards identifying areas for strategic growth in the district. The potential options for significant growth within the district will meet part of the housing requirements identified in the South East Plan.
The consultation is open until the 1st February 2010
