Welcome to Chichester District Council's Planning Consultation Portal
As part of the Local Development Framework (LDF) process Chichester District Council will make critical choices around shaping the district with regard to homes, employment, community facilities and other infrastructure.
The LDF is a set of documents, the Core Strategy being the first that will shape future development in the District up to 2028. It is the spatial expression of the community’s needs and aspirations for the district as set out in the Sustainable Community Strategy 2009-2026, “Chichester District: A Very Special Place”.
The Core Strategy has a key role in identifying the broad location(s) for future development in the District setting the strategy and policies for development in the district up to 2028.
The Housing Numbers and Locations consultation document is the first stage towards identifying areas for strategic growth in the district. The consultation will give you a chance to consider how many homes should be provided and where they should be built, excluding the National Park.
The consultation is open until the 23 September 2011
